Harris Mediation Center welcomes attorney inquiries about mediator availability and fit for appropriate family-law, divorce, parenting, and selected civil disputes in Springfield, Nixa, and Southwest Missouri.
The mediator's role is to manage the process, organize discussion, help identify issues, and support productive negotiation. Counsel's role remains legal advice, client preparation, evaluation of proposals, and documentation strategy where appropriate.

Neutral mediation is separate from legal representation and court authority.
Joel Harris does not serve as counsel for either side when acting as mediator, and HMC does not promise a particular outcome or determine the legal effect of any agreement reached by the participants.
If participants reach agreement, counsel may still need to evaluate, draft, revise, sign, file, or submit appropriate documents depending on the matter and procedural posture.
